Helen Morris, 98, of Springbrook Township, died peacefully in her home on October 3, 2012 surrounded by her family. Born in Old Forge, PA, on November 5,1913, to Joseph Kenosky and Francis (Ezdebski), she moved to Springbrook at an early age where she spent most of her life on the farm and raising a loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Morris.

Her greatest joy in life was being with her “gals” and enjoyed taking many trips to the ocean, to Philadelphia to visit her granddaughters, and going to the casinos. She recently enjoyed a trip to Boston where she “caught” a homerun at Fenway Park at the age of 96. She spent her summers at Lake Wallenpaupack camping and boating, and loved working outdoors in her garden. She was a wonderful story teller and was eager to share memories of growing up on the farm and about her early education in a one room schoolhouse in Springbrook. She always kept her heritage alive by making traditional Polish food and speaking to her family in Polish. Most recently, she was blessed with two more girls when her beautiful twin great-granddaughters were born.

She taught her family many things, but above all, about loving unconditionally and the importance of family. She was always most comfortable having her family near, and would constantly worry about them when they were not. She had a long and fruitful life, and will be missed by everyone who was touched by her witty attitude and loving charm.
